VOICE

If the body is relaxed and toned, the voice will be so, too.

Your vocal range (in terms of projection, resonance, intonation, note and tone) may be quite narrow in everyday, informal situations. You only need to use a small part of your voice in one-to-one situations, although voice-work is a valuable part of Assertiveness Training.

However, when you 'perform' - as actor, poet, minister of religion, business man or woman, politician or family member - you need to use more projection and a wider range of expression. The more you become aware of your vocal potential, the easier it is to develop it.

You want to be heard, clearly and easily, by an audience;

you want to present your ideas with impact;

you want to be able to control your nerves; and

you don't want to lose your voice in times of stress.

A voice consultation will give you some idea how much work you need to do to achieve these aims.

Individual sessions are tailored to the needs of each person.
