PUBLIC SPEAKING
Most people are expected to face an audience
at some time in their lives. It may be presenting work to clients
or colleagues; meeting new people socially; making a speech
at a family event; being interviewed for a new job.
Whatever the reason, if you
avoid these situations, you limit your life. It is your birthright
to be able to speak up and express your point of view to others.
Having to make a speech or presentation unnerves
most of us and yet some people seem to be able to do it with
no problem. If you ask them afterwards how they managed to look
so confident they will often say they were not feeling confident.
They somehow covered up their feelings and projected a different
self.
These are skills that can
be learned like any other.
