The
name refers to our talent for making sense of the random nature
of our universe by creating patterns. The face on Mars is perhaps
the most well-known example. We project our 'story' onto random
objects and actions, and we communicate these patterns to each
other through all the art forms, science and culture.
Random
Acts courses focus on how we communicate through sound and action
- the voice and the body.
The
courses work by offering a 'safe' space for the participant
to explore, experiment and develop more confidence. How you
feel, when you are 'performing', influences your performance.
In
addition, the courses stimulate material: ideas, memories, images.
How you use it is up to you!

We tend to look for patterns in the world around us. You
probably know at least one constellation. They are among
the oldest known patterns - used by sailors and navigators
for at least 3 millennia.
Every time you look up into the night sky and identify
'The Plough', you are creating a story out of random lights
